Abstract: The seminar will be a summary of the research activities of Giulia Palombi. In the first part, the topic of informal social networks, irrationality and performance and related laboratory experiments will be detailed. Results demonstrated the mutual impact on task-groups-performance between the behavioral economics stimulus inducted and the groups’ network structure based on trust.

The second part of the seminar will be focused on topic of cybersecurity management. Using qualitative, quantitative and simulation methodologies, several studies published on the topic will be presented and related results supporting decisions about quality and amount of cybersecurity investments will be provided, including recent works on cybersecurity outsourcing.  Outsourcing IT and cybersecurity processes is not always effective: relationships might be hindered by a series of trust barriers affecting both the vendor and client side.

Finally, future research directions will be presented. Both the trust-network impact on performance and the existing trust barriers in sharing information will contribute on the analysis and development of online platforms for industrial symbiosis.
