Open Innovation in Connected Health
Invited talk of Prof. Stefan Fischer, visiting DIAG from the University of Lubeck.
Prof. Dr. Stefan Fischer (male) (http://www.itm.uni-luebeck.de/people/fischer) is a full professor for computer science. He is also a Vice President of the university, responsible for technology transfer and digitization. After his PhD (1996, University of Mannheim, Germany) and being a postdoc researcher at the University of Montreal, he joined the International University in Germany as an Assistant Professor (1998). In 2001 he became an Associate Professor at the TU Braunschweig, and finally joined the University of Lübeck in 2004. There, he is also the director of the Institute of Telematics (ITM). In 2016, he initiated the foundation of the “Center for Open Innovation in Connected Health” (COPICOH) where he is currently running projects on telemedicine. His research interest is currently focused on network and distributed system structures such as ad-hoc and sensor networks, Internet of Things and nano communications as well as applications in medicine. He has published over 200 reviewed scientific articles and books.
