Manuela Petti received her M.Sc. Degree in Biomedical Engineering cum laude from the Sapienza University of Rome in 2011 and her PhD in Biomedical Engineering from University of Bologna “Alma Mater Studiorum” in 2016. Form 2019 she is an Assistant Professor of Biomedical Engineering (SSD ING-INF/06) at the Department of Computer, Control, and Management Engineering at Sapienza University of Rome. She was a visiting student with the University of Indiana at Bloomington (USA) in 2015. She was a PostDoc at the Department of Computer, Control and Management Engineering of Sapienza University of Rome from 2016 to 2018. She is member of the Bioengineering and Bioinformatics Lab of the Department of Computer, Control and Management Engineering (Sapienza University of Rome) and member of the International Network Medicine Consortium (collaboration Sapienza University of Rome and Brigham and Women’s Hospital-Harvard Medical School).
From 2019, she teaches in the MSc program in Data Science, Sapienza University of Rome (courses: “Bioinformatics and Network Medicine”, “Digital Epidemiology and Precision Medicine”). She is/was supervisor of more than 10 Master’s Degree thesis in Data Science, Statistical Sciences, Computer Science and 2 Bachelor's Degree thesis in Bioinformatics.
Her research activity focuses on:
- the application and development of advanced methods for the analysis and integration of molecular data for precision and network medicine
- biological network inference and analysis
- brain connectivity estimation and network neuroscience
She is author of 34 documents indexed on Scopus (10 as first/last author), with 657 citations and total Impact Factor of 57.315. Her H-index is 10.
