Abstract:

I present an application of cooperative game theory to microarray technique. The idea is to use a  game with transferable utility in order to model the mutual influence of abnormally expressed genes of people affected by a genetic disease. In order to do this, semivalues are used to rank genes; since using one of them need not to be meaningful, a new family is defined. Also an algorithm is considered to calculate them in weighted majority games . Then I consider some real data obtained via microarray (and available on the web) and I make comparisons of the obtained results and those present in the literature.
