The PANOPTESEC project delivered a beyond-state-of-the-art prototype of a cyber defense decision support system, demonstrating a risk based approach to automated cyber defense that accounts for the dynamic nature of information and communications technologies (ICT) and the constantly evolving capabilities of cyber attackers.

PROMISE will provide a virtual laboratory for conducting participative research and experimentation to carry out, advance and bring automation into the evaluation and benchmarking of such complex information systems, by facilitating management and offering access, curation, preservation, re-use, analysis, visualization, and mining of the collected experimental data.

SMART VORTEX is a technological infrastructure consisting of a suite of interoperable tools, services and methods for intelligent management, validation and analysis, of massive volatile and high frequency (up to 10 GB/sec) data streams.

SEWASIE is a 36 months research project, started in May 2002. SEWASIE aims at implementing and advanced search engine, which will provide European SMEs with intelligent access to heterogeneous information on the Internet. This will overrun current information retrieving tools, that often are difficult to use and produce pages of links (mostly worthless) from a simple query.

VisMaster is an European Coordination Action Project focused on the research discipline of Visual Analytics: One of the most important challenges of the emerging Information Age is to effectively utilise the immense wealth of information and data acquired, computed and stored by modern information systems. On the one hand, the appropriate use of available information volumes offers large potential to realize technological progress and business success.
