Academic Carreer

Stefano Battilotti Stefano Battilotti was born in Rome, Italy. He graduated in electrical engineering from the Sapienza University of Rome in 1987 where he obtained also the Ph.D. degree in 1991 with a thesis on the input-output noninteracting control problem with stability for nonlinear systems. In 1992 he joined the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Informatica, Automatica e Gestionale “Antonio Ruberti” (DIAG) of Sapienza University of Rome, where since 2005 he is a Professor of Automatic Control.

Research Interests

His research interests are focused on observer and control design for various types of nonlinear differential systems (ordinary, delay and stochastic) and, more recently, on distrubted filtering and control over networks.

Teaching Activities

He teaches graduate and post-graduate courses on System Indentification, Optimal Filtering, Linear and Nonlinear Control Systems and Stochastic Control.
