Audience
Students
of the Master of Science in Control Engineering (MCER) at the Dipartimento di Ingegneria informatica, automatica e gestionale (DIAG) of the Università
di Roma "La Sapienza". Other possible students include
those of the Master in Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (MARR).
Objective
The course illustrates the basic
methodologies in estimation, filtering, prediction and optimal control.
The student will be able to use the main estimation, filtering, and
prediction techniques and to formulate, analyze, and search for
solutions of optimization problems of different nature by an
appropriate use of optimality conditions, with particular emphasis on
optimal control problems.
Contents
The
course, which gives 12 ECTS credits, is organized in the following 2 modules:
Prerequisites
Grading
To
obtain 12 credits for System Identification and Optimal Control (SIOC)
it is necessary to
complete the 2 modules that make up SIOC. Instruction for completing
each module can be found on the relative web pages. A grade will be
assigned based on the average, wheighted with the number of credits, of
the single
grades. To register the final grade, sign-up via Infostud is required.
